"I'll be living art and half naked..."

I'm crossing something off my bucket list...well, something that wasn't on my bucket list but should have been, had I known it was even something I would have been daring enough to do. At NWA Fashion Week for the local artist night, I'm going to be painted!! Haha, all in the name of art? She's a local artist who reached out to me since I was on the list, and needed a dark haired girl to fill in for her Japan portrayl...so in a sense, I'll be living art and half naked...in front of hundreds of people...(breathe, breathe, breathe). She said just torso/legs/arms, so really not that risque, but definitely worth thrill points. (Addie would understand that line, Judy Moody!! Of course, I would never share that with her until she's like 25.) It won't be like naked naked, but I'm guessing like swimsuit naked. If you want to follow what she's doing, her link is HERE. Might be fun to see the after photos, there will be 15 girls total and I'm interested to see what she has in store for us!! Still no word on who has booked me, and although they said by Feb. 16th for sure we'll have a call, I still can't help but think that it was a mistake my name being on the list. I mean, really. I'm short. I know that. And, I've had kids...everyone has something they dislike about themselves and want to improve upon, so I can't say I don't have fears of failing at this. Again, deep breath. (and, PINCH ME!! Ahh!!)

Okay, so this was my favorite hair as of late:

And of course my favorite full body hair I finally was able to pull off, I had duck lips in...like, real duck lips, not those kissy faces people post...

I finally found the right mixture for vanilla creamer (homemade), that heavy whipping cream is for the birds. Seriously.

2 Cups Half & Half
1/3 Cup turbinado sugar (raw sugar)
2 tbsp vanilla

Warm the half & half and turbinado sugar until steaming, which is just hot enough to dissolve. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Store in glass jar for up to two weeks. (BOOM. It will blow your mind...not really, but its good stuff)

These. These are amazing. They're actually sweet potatoes and beets, dried to perfection. That's it. They are soooo yummy, great way to mix up the plain potato chip. Doug brought these home and I was surprised at how much I liked them. The girls, not so much, but I feel better feeding my body these instead.

And on the subject of healthy body, I've started trying to take better care of my skin lately. Ever since last summer when I burned the heck out of my face, it hasn't come back the same. I feel so unforgiven. So, I've been using Neutrogena's Rapid Repair Night cream, which was been a great experience. Also, their deep cleansing vibrator thingy (so technical of a name), which makes my face feel so awesome and smooth afterwards. My skin has ALWAYS been sensitive, and even just tweezing can throw it into a fit. I had little hope of finding a cream that it wouldn't work against, but it had great reviews and I wanted to try it. So anyways, no breakouts and I can see brighter/smoother skin. That's my two cents. I'm not quite to that "two week" miracle mark yet...

If you wear my favorite perfume, Burberry Brit, beware of men who come out of the freezer section following the scent. I'm NOT joking. At least, at the Walmart Express in Gravette. He's a big burly guy, with tons of facial hair, and has come out TWICE to ask me what I'm wearing, the second time looking me up and down. I'm trying really hard to be gracious, and kind about it...

And I've always loved facial masks that you peel off, I found a fun cucumber one just at the store. Please, OH PLEASE, if you do try this, come up to one of your kids and do this...

Screaming, "Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!! OWIEEEEEEEE!!!!!" And then tell me their reaction. Hilarious. Addie climbed up the couch the first time I did it to her, and Lillian just frowned and then asked if she could help peel it off.

Picture Party-

We made a yummy bolognese sauce last week, I definitely recommend trying it and freezing half...I just doubled the recipe, and substituted ground pork for the second batch, which made both half and half. Nice flavors, DEFINITELY do NOT use Jamie Oliver's bolognese recipe. I made that once and it was so bland and terrible, I can't believe I shared that with a friend. Like, made her eat it. Live and learn I guess.

I'm off to catch a mommy break!! I've renewed Anna Karenina 2 times now, so hopefully I'll do some damage on the last half of the book. Soooo long, so good though.

Peace love.
